A history of firsts

Since GrainCorp was privatised, we have been through an extensive program of modernisation, geographic expansion and diversification moving from a grain handling business to the supply chain & logistics company you find today. Our history has led the industry in a series of firsts:

1992 First government authority in the Australian grain industry to be privatised

1996 First bulk handler to trade in grain

1998 First grain business to list on ASX

2002 First to move into flour production through the Allied Mills joint venture

2003 First to have an operation that extended from Queensland to Victoria

2008 First to extend ownership of the supply chain with a five year, eight train transport deal
